Exciting Project Finished!!

We’ve been working hard all year on a behind-the-scenes project that we are finally ready to unveil….Renfrow Hardware just received an online makeover!
Check Out Our NEW HARDWARE WEBSITE!
I’ve been working with our friends at Knowmad Digital Marketing  for the past several months to bring our old hardware store website into the 21st century. It was quite a large project and I am so so thrilled with their execution of our vision for a user-friendly, mobile-friendly site that will be a resource for our community that extends beyond our standard business hours.

There are lots of new features to this site, so I hope you’ll check them out sometime! I’ll highlight just a few of them here…

Resources – I’ve posted many of our newly updated gardening resources to this newsletter throughout the several months, but now we have a central location for all of them.

Hardware Services – I know I rarely mention the hardware store components of the business in this newsletter, but our guys truly are some of the best in the industry when it comes to cutting keys, sharpening blades, rescreening windows, and general hardware “fix-it” knowledge!

“Renfrow’s List” – need a plumber or electrician? This is a brief list of our favorite folks in town who we always call on to keep our homes and business running.

Blog – this section is pretty barebones right now, but will come to life throughout the fall and winter months as I slowly transfer many of my old newsletter “gardening lessons” to this platform and expand them into better resources for our gardeners.

Fall Flower Bulbs Update

With fall vegetable planting in full swing right now, I’ve received lots of inquiries about when I’ll have the tulips, daffodils, anemone, ranunculus, and other bulbs ready for sale!

So…here are the details:

I’m going to have extras of all my favorite flower bulbs available for pre-order through a new online store that I’m putting together right now. The bulbs may then be picked up at the hardware store at no extra cost, or you may have them shipped to you if you don’t live nearby! Everything will come in 10-bulb packages, with bulk pricing available for orders of 5+ packages of the same of bulb.

I will send out a separate email with all of the varieties and growing tips when the online store is live and ready, which will be in a few more weeks.

Here’s a brief bulleted list of what I should have available in October and November (dates to be confirmed soon):

Allium
Anemone

  • red, blue, pink, white with black center, white with white center
  • mixed colors

Dutch Iris

  • multiple colors

SkillPop Gardening Class

taught by David & Pressly

We also have a SkillPop class about fall gardening scheduled for Thursday evening, September 7th from 6:30-8:30pm. David & Pressly teach this one together and, weather-permitting, we will start out at the farm and finish the class at the hardware store. We will talk about all things related to fall gardening!
